  • Summertime

Two different interpretations of the theme "summertime".  Which one is closer to yours?

Summertime, an' the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin' an' the cotton is high
Oh, Yo daddy's rich an' yo' ma is good lookin'
So hush, little baby, don't you cry

One of these mornin's, you goin' to rise up singin'
Then you'll spread yo' wings an' you'll take the sky
But till that mornin', there's a nothin' can harm you
With daddy & mammy standin' by

    • Mae's - i found this randomly while looking for the Gershwin track

watched Something's Gotta Give with Denise and Audrey last night - D got free tix from the client - there are perks to being in banking afterall.

hmmm strange but i could really identify with lots of the things said in the movie - example: Diane Keaton's character was talking about the trick to getting used to sleeping alone:

"the trick is to sleep right in the middle - you have to stop sleeping on one side of the bed"

i've only recently shifted back to the middle after 2 years of curling up on the right side.  total force of habit since my ex and I never even shared my bed to start off with... but one side of my bed is so much softer than the other now   *sigh*  time to make corrections

  • i really liked something's gotta give.

  • you know....you definitely need to reacquaint yourself with the gloriousness of the middle of the bed.  :)

  • I really enjoyed Something's Gotta Give, one of the best comedies I've seen in a long time... two great actors (Jack and Diane... not Keanu)

You know... you could just flip the mattress, and then still sleep on the right side, until the mattress evens out.

  • true true but that requires too much effort (yeah i am that lazy)

slept really well last night.  smack in the center.  i must be getting more and more bossy with age

  • If sleeping in the middle works for you, do it. But for me, I'd sleep on the opposite side. That way if you reach out... you'll just get an edge (it will feel like a single bed). Then you even it up, too.
