soo sad! i'm sorry stel! are you looking for specifically a kitten or any aged cat? i hope you find one soon!
aww get find another one
thanks guys - planning to go to SPCA this weekend... not particularly hung up on getting a kitten. in fact i hear that if you care for your furniture it's better to get a cat ...
i think it all has to do with training. some tips i've learned - put scratching posts next to the places where you don't want your cat to scratch. and i hear double-sided tape on the corners of your furniture make the kitty think twice about scratching there. be sure to post pictures!
in my three days as a cat owner, i found it really easy to teach mister b. everytime he wanted to scratch something, i moved him next to the scratching post-- he picked it up after the second time. if you want a kitten, maybe you should get two so they can play with one another instead of with your furniture?
